Molds are part of our natural environment, and can be found everywhere, indoors and out. Molds are usually not a problem indoors, unless mold spores land on a wet or damp surface, and begin growing. Molds have the potential to cause health problems by producing allergens (substances that can cause allergic reactions) and irritants. Inhaling or touching mold or mold spores may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Velocity Restoration will first, identify the moisture source that is the cause of the mold growth, then will work with you to resolve all moisture issues as soon as possible. Using our state of the art equipment, we will dry the area completely, scrub mold off any hard surfaces with detergent and water, and do all we can to restore the area back to it’s original state.
Asbestos is a mineral fiber that occurs in rock and soil. Because of its fiber strength and heat resistance, asbestos has been used in a variety of building construction materials for insulation and as a fire retardant. Asbestos can be found in many building materials, including roofing shingles, ceiling and floor tiles, attic and wall insulation, textured paint and patching compounds, and asbestos cement products. People usually associate asbestos with older homes, but it has been found in drywall that was used in homes built as recent as 2008. Exposure to asbestos increases your risk of developing lung disease. Velocity Restoration can identify materials that may contain asbestos, and work with you to safely remove those materials from your home.
